MySQL makes available packages/installers of Workbench for 32 and 64 bit version of Operating Systems for Windows, Oracle Linux, Mac OS X, Ubuntu, Fedora.

MySQL Workbench fully supports MySQL Server versions 5.1 and above. It is also compatible with MySQL Server 5.0, but not every feature of 5.0 may be supported. It does not support MySQL Server versions 4.x. Please note that MySQL Workbench on Linux is a Gnome application and is only formally supported on the Gnome desktop while it should run fine on other desktop environments.
